Guidelines from Festival Bulletin

• Choose repertoire according to the instructions in the Festivals Bulletin.   Enter the student at their performance level.  Required piece must be chosen from the Festivals Bulletin. Choice piece must be at the same difficulty as required selection. 

• Since Popular Piano is a new category, any student performing a non-classical piece should be entered in this event.

• Beginning in Elementary Class I and above the choice piece composer must be an original piece from works of a non-American composer.

• Students may enter Concerto or Ensemble events without the requirement of playing a Solo at festival.  It will be necessary for the admin to "Declare a Solo", so contact Karla Williams.

• Published scores of the required and choice pieces must be provided for the judges. NO photocopied music will be allowed.

• If accompaniment is indicated in the score, live accompaniment must be used.

• No photography, video, or audio recording will be allowed in the audition room during the performances.
